Abstract

This study examined the effect of workforce diversity on the performance of deposit money banks in Wukari Metropolis. The objective of the study was to assess the relationship between gender diversity performance of deposit money banks located in Wukari Metropolis, explore the influence of educational diversity on the performance of deposit money banks operating within Wukari Metropolis and analyze how cultural diversity affects performance of Wukari Metropolis's deposit money banks. The sample size for the study was 110 which was the total population of bank staff in Wukari Metropolis. Data for the study was collected through the use of structured questionnaire and descriptive statistics such as simple percentage was used to analyze the respondents’ responses. Multiple OLS regression was used to test the hypotheses of the study. Findings from the study unveiled that gender diversity has a substantial effect on performance of deposit money banks in Wukari Metropolis, further findings from the study also unveiled that educational diversity have a substantial effect on performance of deposit money banks within Wukari Metropolis. In addition, further findings from the study unveiled that cultural diversity have a substantial effect on performance of deposit money banks within Wukari Metropolis. It was recommended that management of deposit money banks in Wukari should implement policies that encourage gender balance in recruitment, and decision-making roles. Also, management of deposit money banks should establish a robust employee development initiative, offering training for skill gaps and study leave to foster educational growth among employees.
