Sub-Sahara African is bedeviled with inadequate energy use which has serious influence on the quality of life in the region. Thus, inefficient energy use efficiency poses a serious challenge not on-ly to the wellbeing of the inhabitant of the region but also hampers every effort towards achieving sustainable development goals. This necessitated the need to investigate the effect of energy use efficiency on the quality of life in Sahara Africa. This objective was achieved using instrumental variable – fixed effect (IV-FE) The findings revealed that that improved energy use efficiency has positive and significant effect on the quality of life while misery of life is inversely related with quality of life in the region. The paper recommended based on these findings the importance of concerted effort by the Sahara African regional government towards improved energy use efficien-cy that will secure energy adequacy to enhance the quality of life while reducing the precarious misery of life in the region.Downloads
